617 new cases take J&K's Covid tally to 100,968


Srinagar, Nov 12 (IANS): Jammu and Kashmir reported 617 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, taking the Union Territory's Covid-19 tally to 100,968, while 511 persons were discharged from different hospitals after recovery.

An official bulletin said that of the 617 new cases reported on Thursday, 226 were from Jammu division and 391 from Kashmir division.

So far, 100,968 people have been infected by coronavirus in the UT of which 93,824 have recovered.

As many as 1,566 people have been killed by the dreaded virus so far, including 8 patients who succumbed to the virus on Thursday.

The number of active cases in the UT is 5,578, of which 1,588 are from Jammu division and 3,990 from Kashmir division.
