Kundapur, Nov 20: We see most of the government departments are negligent while making sure the government schemes reach the poor. However, the revenue department visited the houses of the disadvantaged in Kota to ensure that the elderly obtain the benefits of old-age pension.
The department has also prepared a model scheme of the government and under the direction of tahsildar Kiran Gorayya visited destitute families in Huliyar, Manoor and Kotathattu villages on Friday and began a Pauthi movement which garnered praises from locals.
Kotathattu resident Mallika said that they had no knowledge of land transfer that was in the name of her father. “The scheme that has been started through revenue department officials is a unique project which will help the poor. I congratulate the department,” she said.
Kota country office deputy tahsildar Vasanth, Kota revenue officer Raju, Kota village accountant Chaluvaraja, assistant Raju Marakala, former member of Kota gram panchayat Santhosh Prabhu and others were present.
