Bengaluru: Marriage expenses Rs six crore - Breaks down on first night

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Dec 4: A marriage which involved an expenditure of six crore rupees broke down on the first night. The groom was gifted with a luxury Benz car and over five kilograms of gold ornaments but these glittering gifts failed to hold the marriage together.

The groom came into the bedroom fully drunk, which was objected to by the bride. The incident aggravated, after which the lady visited the HAL police station here to file a complaint. The police arrested the accused, Bharath Reddy, after which the court remanded him to judicial custody.

Families of Bharath Reddy and the aggrieved woman came to know of each other through a middleman and the alliance was finalised. The marriage happened on October 29 and the first night rituals were arranged on the next day. As Bharath was intoxicated, the lady kept him away. The situation continued in the same manner the next day.

The bride said that Bharath Reddy's parents felt that their daughter-in-law was under the grip of a spirit and got procedures performed by a sorcerer. As she resented the behaviour of her husband, mother-in-law Komalamma and father-in-law Lokesh Reddy reportedly attacked her. The lady said that she did not want to marry but the elders decided to perform her marriage as her mother had died recently and conducting an auspicious function the same year, it is believed, augurs well for the family. "During the marriage, a Benz car and five kilograms of gold ornaments were gifted and the marriage was performed on a grand scale. My husband was seen drinking from the very first day, and was behaving strangely. He used to assault me and manhandle me. He did not tell when he would be home.

When questioned, he said he was already married with a child and asked the complainant to lie down in a corner of the home silently. When she resisted this behaviour, her husband and in-laws reportedly put her through sorcery, beat her up, and forced her to eat rice mixed with ash. After coming to know this torture, she said, her sister came here and took her back to her parental home.

The bride said that before the marriage, Bharath Reddy claimed himself to be a mechanical engineering graduate. But now she realised that he did not even complete SSLC education. He used to harass me like the psychos do in films. He always opposed what I said or wanted. He behaved strangely, and it seems he married me because of our riches," she stated.

Another fake case filed by woman to harass man and his family. The girl came on TV and accepted that she did not want to marry him but was forced by her parents(obviously by looking at their money). It illogical that the guys parent would struggle so much to get their son married and harrass her from day 1. Being educated, every man will need a life partner who will support him till the end, but the women these days instead of supporting they become a big burden by filing fake dowry cases which are welcome by police to get some under the table amount who provide a template to women and ask them to do a ctrl H and change their names so that police can extort money from the husband's family. Donno when this misuse of law will stop and such women get severely punished. Such women who file fake cases should be hanged in public but our law gives them all provisions to extort the rich husband's property in terms of alimony... This is not a dowry case, its an alimony case where woman wants to become rich by misusing the laws

I know people from that area (LBS nagar), and it seems most people in the area know the behavior of this person in question. Also, it is for court to decide. So, just chill and get some life. Dont try to vomit your idiocity here without even knowing the facts. Check the facts next time before posting. Else without proof saying something defamatory can invite legal troubles.
Many girls are forced into marriage by elders without even doing a round of enquiry. In this case, girl should even file complaint against her own family for allegedly forcing her into this marriage and also the marriage broker for allegedly falsifying the image of the boy. Totally unfortunate that girls family seems to have ignored all warnings by many people and even from the girl herself. Poor girl had to go through all this issues. Yes there are many wild cases of wife harassing men. But, this is for appropriate legal authority to decide and you are know one to pass such judgement.

Reality of life is different than gifting car and loads of gold. Love doesn't comes from materials but from heart. Read bible people this holy book teaches life. You can read any number of times but will learn and learn about true life. I promise you if you start reading today and applies the context to your life see the difference in you and around you. This car, gold is unnecessary for marriage. When we bribe someone life gets complicated and dangerous.

Hmm what to say? So many lies?? Yuckkkkkkkkkkkkk man.

Dear madam, take back everything from him and whatever extra, you please distribute among the very needy people those who are plenty around you. See the condition of a needy family/student/hardworkers etc. from your own eyes and help them.

What's the necessity of possessing this much wealth which cannot be used daily. Why to give so much wealth to a groom, when he gets a great daughter of the parents who looked after like a diamond ?? And who is everything for him from the day one of his marriage?? Arrest the middle man also.... 😡😡😡

This should in principle be brought under Love-Jihad law. Slap case against him for lying and forced conversion to his habits and environ. How is it different from different religion? Additional cases under dowry laws also should be considered.

Blame western culture. Any bad happens blame on others good happen it is our culture. Law and rules make no difference for people until corruption is completely removed from grassroots. It is a systematic issues where dowry rapes are overlooked. For that matters many suffers silently for biases of not getting govt jobs just because they belongs to certain communities or caste or religion etc. It is corruption and influence by people are in power at.variouz levels responsible for.many things happening in society.
