Mangaluru-Mysuru flight services inaugurated

Mangaluru, Dec 11: The much-awaited Mangaluru-Mysuru flight service started on Friday December 11.

The first ever airline to connect the coastal town Mangaluru to Mysuru, Alliance Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India, operated its maiden flight. The inaugural flight operated with 41 passengers from Mangaluru.

In a short inaugural ceremony, the lighting of lamp was done by CAO of Adani group and airport director, Airports Authority of India.

The flight will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with departure from Mysuru at 11.20 pm and arrival in Mangaluru at 12.30 pm. On the return, departure from Mangaluru will be at 12.55 pm and arrival in Mysuru will be at 1.55 pm.

The flight connectivity is significant as Mysuru is home to nearly 65,000 people or around 12,000 families from the coastal belt apart from significant number of entrepreneurs who have business interests spread across the two regions.
