Madhya Pradesh minister meets Jaya Bachchan's mom over attack on Nadda

Bhopal, Dec 11 (IANS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun its mobilisation against the Mamata Banerjee government over the attack in West Bengal on the convoy of party president Jagat Prakash Nadda.

In this connection, state Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra met Indira Bhaduri, 90, the mother of actor-politician Jaya Bachchan and the mother-in-law of the megastar Amitabh Bachchan, seeking support for the BJP.

Dr Mishra has been given a big responsibility by the party related to the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal. He returned to Bhopal after a four-day visit to Bengal. On Thursday, Mishra paid a visit to Indira Bhaduri, who is associated with the Bengali community, at her residence and discussed the attack on a convoy of BJP leaders.

The Home Minister sought Bhaduri's support against the West Bengal government and in support of the BJP in the name of nationalism. At the same time, he also discussed the violence that is taking place in Bengal.

Dr Mishra said that during his meeting with the mother-in-law of Amitabh Bachchan, he was invited to attend a conference being hosted by the Bengali community in Bhopal next week.
