Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 24: A large number of faithful attended the Christmas Eve Mass at churches in and around the city on Thursday, December 24.

Twinkling lights, and stars and sparkling decorations could be seen in churches everywhere celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

Bishop of Mangalore diocese Dr Peter Paul Saldanha celebrated the Mass at Rosario Cathedral.

Carol singing, vibrant cribs and attractive Christmas trees filled the air with much festivity.

Udupi

Christmas Eve was celebrated on a simpler note this year amid the pandemic.

Bishop of Udupi diocese Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo celebrated the Mass at Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur. The celebrations at the Church were conducted while adhering to the Covid-19 regulations.
