Udupi/Mangalore, Jun 6: The atmosphere in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts turned out to be pretty cool on Saturday June 5 following moderate showers, bringing some relief from the scorching heat.

The sky in the twin districts was filled with dark clouds reflecting the nature of a typical monsoon season. It looked like the rain brought life to plants and trees as well which also had to bear the pricking heat of the summer season. The greenery all around was pleasing to the eyes.

In Udupi there was small amount of rain in the morning as well as in the evening. Clouds had covered the sky right from the morning. In Mangalore too the situation was moreover the same.

In Bellare and Sullia there was moderate rain upto noon, whereas in Subrahmanya area there was rain coupled with heavy lightning and thunder in the evening. Beltangady, Kinnigoli and Mulki also experienced moderate showers.
