Mangaluru, Jan 2: International Kannadigas Federation in association with over 120 Kannada organisations from more than 30 countries will launch a day-long Twitter campaign #NRIAPPEALDAY today at 4 pm on Saturday January 2.

The campaign is launched to draw the attention of the state government towards strengthening the NRI Forum, Karnataka.

Pro-Kannada organisations from United States America, UAE, Britain, Australia, Qatar, Kuwait, Italy, Germany, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia, Denmark, Nigeria, Holland, Omen, Bahrain, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, Switzerland, Ghana, New Zealand, West Indies, Hong Kong, Singapore, Scotland, Norway, Netherland, South Korea, and other pro-Kannada organisations across the globe have expressed their support.

Hidayat Addoor, convenor, International Kannadigas Federation, said that their demands include the below:

1. The government should immediately appoint deputy chairman for NRI Karnataka Forum.
2. The government should appoint a NRI who can understand the grievances of NRIs for the post of deputy chairman for NRI Karnataka Forum.
3. The government should materialise the demand of NRK card.
4. The government should start Kannada schools after constructing Kannada Bhavan in the countries where the number of Kannadigas are more.
