Mangaluru, Jan 3: Taking a dig at SDPI and BJP, district Youth Congress president Mithun Rai said that SDPI is working as BJP's agent.

Speaking during the press meet at Congress Bhavan on Sunday January 3, he said, “SDPI is an alliance of BJP. SDPI is working as BJP's agent. Very soon people will come to know the true colour of SDPI. Congress is not restricted to any religion. People from the minority communities are the power of Congress. Only Congress can protect the interests of minority communities.”

On the objectionable and blasphemous writings dropped in offertory boxes of 'Daivasthanas' in a few places in the city, he said, "Such heinous incidents is a strategy to disrupt the communal harmony. It is also a black mark to the district.

“The entire district is well known for communal harmony and brotherhood. There are several religious centres depicting communal harmony. But, some perverted minds are trying to bring discord among the faiths,” he said.

He called upon members of different communities to boycott such perverted minds from the community.

He urged the newly appointed police commissioner N Shashi Kumar to form a special team to conduct a probe into such incidents and punish them so that such acts never be repeated.

Terming such heinous acts as ‘sowing the seeds of hatred among the communities’, he said that he would appeal the mayor and commissioner of the city corporation to install CCTV cameras outside religious centres.

Honnayya, administrator of one of the 'Daivasthana' said, "Blasphemous writings and objectionable things were found in the offering box which is kept on the roadside outside the 'Daivasthana'. Hence, the act was not captured on the CCTVs.

State youth Congress president election

Speaking on the internal elections for the post of state president of Youth Congress, Mithun Rai said, "The party has shortlisted my name for the post of state Youth Congress president. Among 10 aspirants, even my name has been shortlisted for the post. Very soon, internal elections will be held for the post."

When asked about the 'satisfactory' performance of Congress in the gram panchayat polls, he said, "In Mulki-Moodbidri constituency, out of 12 panchayats, Congress has won 6 gram panchayats. Congress is successful in grabbing the panchayats which were not with Congress from the past 10 years."

SDPI and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, both parties are implicitly supported by BJP, just to divided Congress votes. These parties have been financed by agent s who has connection with the political parties.

Congress still lives in the delusion that Siddu, DKS, Ramanatha Rai, Janardhana Poojari , Moidueen Bava, Ivan Dsouza, will turn the fortunes for the party to enable a thumping victory in full majority in the next elections by just doing some press conferences in full media glare .
Meanwhile SDPI, JDS, and other parties have visited homes of the voters and interacted with them, understanding their problems and finding a solution. Since 2019, I had 2 such visits by non Cong opposition parties and they have given me their cell numbers to contact them in case of any queries.
This is the difference and admittedly the result jn GP elections shows.

BJP is not a forbidden party for any community. Since its formation in 1980 they have welcomed all classes of people into its fold. Unfortunately it was always being projected as communal and a threat to the minorities by its rivals which now has been proved untrue. Still their young leaders like Mithun always talk about majority and minorities, caste and creed; while senior leaders like Siddhu always think of hurting the sentiments one community in order to please the other. And ironically these leaders talk about secularism, taking the common people for granted. The doom of such parties in a liberal secular country is certain.

Congress is decimated in DK. The minority vote bank they were so far claiming and boasting to be theirs , have slipped out of their hands. SDPI,, JDS, and BJP minority morcha have benefited a lot from recent influx from Congress hard core young voters. Despite being warned the Congress did not nurture grass root level leaders or merited individuals to take over. Tickets were given on the basis of 'influence' for DKS or Siddu favorites.
The party still does not accept the fact that it has to groom new, young , dynamic, strategists, than old tried , tested and lost candidates.
God knows when will they learn.

Dear Mithun Bhai. Congress has done nothing worth mentioning as an opposition so far. Elderly outdated leaders like Siddu saying 'who will stop me if i eat beef' wont work wonders for the party anymore. Similarly sitting in a car and waving at people during elections too wont garner votes. The SDPI has literally wiped out your vote bank in the matter of a year or so. Its alarming ,both BJP and SDPI have got grass root level workers. Learn from guys like Vedavyas who is known even to school going kids and other common people due to their out reach.

SDPI has taken over the Congress vote bank and now they are shocked. The over confidence of Congress has led to this situation today. Congress thought minorities will stick to the party come what may. But that is not the case. These allegations wont help. Mithun and team should answer one question. What have you done as a honorable opposition? Calling press conferences and blaming .

Do not drag Owaisi into this. The growth of SDPI was really expected and was just a matter of time that Congress would be dethroned from the top opposition party in DK. You cannot expect minorities to stick around a party that supports them only on paper or speeches. It requires actions. The CAA/NRC protests show caused this fact when one faction of minorities preferred to sit indoors and bash online , for a 'all minority call 'for street protests.

The joke is, that Indian economy sunk because (only because) or Corona.

And, we the people are still worshiping such cheats at the center who till we reached -25% kept blaming the earlier govt of looting the nation.

Being a candidate of Parliamentary elections, I did not see you visiting people 2019 as BJP candidates did. I can understand it's too difficult to campaign personally but how are other parties doing ? Get out of the comforts and start meeting people before more parties like SDPI crop up and swallow up votes of Congress.

Just see how the PM is becoming BJP's PM when election times come. Only RG's speech isn't sufficient. Let the party make use of Tharoor, Pilot and other leaders to reach out to people if you guys want Congress to stay alive in 2024.

-What is the agenda on which Congress has come to ask our votes,?
-What are you dong to do differently than what Modi did?
Apart from a smile the teams were silent, and just said 'lets vote for a youngster this time'.
Thats the ground reality. Internet bashing , or karsevaking does not translate to votes. Thats why SDPI has grabbed Congress position today.
