Mangaluru, Jan 4: Karnataka Pradesh Congress committee (KPCC) will hold convention of Mysuru division titled ‘Sankalpa Samavesha’ at BC Road on January 6, informed KPCC working president Saleem Ahammed.

Addressing media here on Monday January 4, Saleem Ahammed said, “The divisional convention will be conducted from January 6 to 18 at Bantwal, Bengaluru on January 8, Belgaum on January 11 and Gulbarga on January 18. The convention has been titled as ‘Sankalpa Samavesha. During the convention, discussions will be carried out about party organizations, government’s failures in handling pandemic, riots and others.

“Committees will be formed in gram panchayat and wards before January 25. Later, booth committee will be formed. There will be discussion on our political strategies. Congress has gained more number of seats in the gram panchayat elections despite BJP’s money and administration power.

“KPCC president D K Shivakumar, former chief minister Siddaramaiah, KPCC and AICC members, spokespersons, panellists, MLAs, MLCs, and former MLAs and MLC’s will take part in the convention, he said.

When asked about ruckus at Legislative Assembly, he said, “The government is the reason behind the ruckus at the session. It should not have happened. Why did the government forcibly make the deputy chairman to occupy chair of the chairman and bar the entry of the chairman?”

District Congress president Harish Kumar, former minister Ramanath Rai, Congress leaders Ibrahim Kodijal and others were present.

Why wasting time and money on all these political Dramas. Why not spend all this energy, money for the better cause of society, sick, poor and less fortunate people in the state. DK is fighting for a long time for it's own Railway centre and spin off from Phalghat section. Why not pursue this matter. Secondly why not make DK roads with Govt. buses and ban all private buses from the road. When Mumbai can do it why not DK? These are a few tasks we can pursue rather than wasting time.

Vadra Congress is literally finished in DK. Samaveshas wont help here. Move on and make way for a newly emerging opposition. You have been given enough chances.
