Mangalore: Unity Hospital Celebrates World Environment Day

Mangalore, Jun 8: The drastic life changes and industrial development is leading our country to higher status. But in the process of change, we forget the fact that we are losing the balance of the enviorment and economy, the world enviornment day reminds us this fact.

The second year BSc Nursing and GNM students of Unity Academy of Education celebrated World Enviornment Day at Unity Health Complex & Unity Academy of Education, recently.

The students made the celebration meaningful by conducting socio-drama at the outpatient department of Unity Health Complex and a poster presentation regarding biodiversity and ecosystem management. The pamphlets were distributed to create awareness on environmental safety among the public. Students conducted cleaning and campaigning at the campus premises. They also planted saplings on the occasion.

Dr C P Habeeb Rehman, chairman, Unity Health Complex, Ajmal M Habeeb and Ashfaq M Habeeb, trustees, Unity Academy of Education, Devraj B, administrative co-ordinator, Unity Health Complex, professor Vimala Prasad principal, Unity Academy of Education and P Narayanan, administrative officer guided the student activities.
