Bidar, Jan 6: Chief Minister, B S Yediyurappa laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Anubhava Mantap in the birthplace of Basavanna at Basavakalyan at a cost of Rs 600 crore and also launched several developmental projects in the district on Wednesday.
The chief minister also inaugurated the 100-0bed Mother and Child Care Hospital. He also laid the foundation stone for the construction of the district stadium, engineering college hostel and also a hostel building for backward classes.
Bhalki Hiremath Samsthana and Vishwa Basava Dharma Trust chief, Dr Basavalinga Pattadevaru, deputy chief minister, Lakshman Savadi, Animal Husbandry minister, Prabhu B Chavan, Health and Family Welfare minister, Dr K Sudhakar, MLAs Ishwar Khandre, Sashil Namoshi, BJP MP Bhagavant Khooba and others were among the dignitaries who participated in the function.
Bidar deputy commissioner, R Ramachandran welcomed the gathering. Superintendent of Police, Nagesh L and additional deputy commissioner, Rudresh Ghali attended the programme.
