Udupi: Firm duped of Rs 14.15 crore using fake documents, complaint lodged

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Jan 7: In an incident which took place within the limits of Manipal police station, a firm was allegedly cheated to the extent of Rs 14.15 crore with the help of fraudulent documents.

A Mumbai-based concern owned by Suresh Bhandary had entered into an agreement with Dr Kshama Hegde, Sudhir Kumar P Hegde, and Vijayalaxmi Hegde for building an apartment complex in a stie at Manipal. Both the sides had entered into an agreement on November 24, 2008.

It is said that before preparing the agreement, the accused had produced fake documents and map of the site, produced the same before the government authorities, and got land conversion done. Later, in violation of the joint development deed terms, they had given 46 cents of land out of 2.11 acres of land in survey No 345 at Manipal to Udupi municipality by way of donation deed.

These things have come in the way of executing the plan as envisaged by the firm belonging to Suresh Bhandary at the said site. His concern has suffered loss of Rs 14.15 crore, it has been alleged in a private complaint filed in the court. The firm has alleged that the individuals with whom it entered into an agreement have violated agreement terms and cheated the firm.

When someone come with fake documents government Authorities approve it without proper checking the document??? that means dismiss the Authorities. fake people always there to deceive but Authorities also get involve for money. That is why India is very far from any sort of honesty related to Real estate Authorities.
The government of India must recruit only more responsible and dedicated Authorities, not to recruit sadak chaps and public extortionist who do not follow professional ethics.

    Look commenters ....

Both parties were agreed for this deed on November 24, 2008
They had given false/fake land conversation document which was approved by the year 2008 local administration department.

Why are you blaming on 2014 government? BJP government had done many development work in and around Udupi Manipal area compared to Congress era. Stop blaming!

Prima facie, It is a private complaint, the merits and demerits of which need not be commented upon.... But believe it is 2008, the first Yeddy Government assumed office in Karnataka..... Also surprising how Udupi municipality accepted 46 cents of this land, if the records are not clear..... This indicates that there is a political nexus or land mafia involvement.... Also unable to understand why the defendant kept mum for more than 12 years.....
