People must purchase 'panchagavya' products to save cows: Minister Prabhu Chauhan

Bengaluru, Jan 8 (IANS): Karnataka Animal Husbandry, Hajj and Waqf minister Prabhu Chauhan on Thursday appealed to people to purchase desi cow products manufactured using cow dung and urine, among others.

In a note released to the media here, Chauhan said that while people use cow products like ghee, milk and curd, they should also start using other cow products.

"There is a wide range of panchagavya products such as Go-Ark (distilled cow urine), Satvik Dhoop (pure incense sticks), A2 cow ghee, hand churned ghee, desi cow ghee, panchagavya medicines, dant manjan, soap, shampoo, skin lotion, cow dung soaps, cow dung dhoop and many more. These products need people's encouragement," he said.

He added that panchagavya is a unit of five glorious elements from cow - urine, cow dung, milk, curd and ghee. "Consumption of panchagavya products on regular basis removes toxins from our body, and leads to miraculous healing of food addictions," he said, adding that the state government will soon take up extensive research of these byproducts to create awareness among the people.

Heaping praise on Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and all his cabinet colleagues, the minister said that now the anti-Cow slaughter ban is a reality, and thanked his colleagues and the CM for helping him table this bill in the Assembly.

He also directed the officials to take stringent steps to implement this ban in order to prevent cows from being slaughtered. "I also take the opportunity to appeal to the people, especially those who can afford to look after abandoned cows, to come forward and help the government save cows," he said.

Very good. But I suggest that in every meeting and party ,Government must provide cow urine in bottle to drink instead of minaral water. In Parliament and assembly Government must supply cow urine to all members compulsory. Then only we can appreciate his statement.

Cow government is lost in their main agenda of developing the country. They have brought some Cow sentiments and introduced some acts to save cows. Now they have realized the drawbacks and multiple problems cropping up due to slaughter ban. Let them create State within India called Cow State and allow others lead a normal life.

Minister appealing to use products from cow dung and urine , why he has to appeal if it has beneficial content then people will buy it naturally. Those who does not want to eat cow dung products what is the use of appealing people. Better Minister find alternative method to increase profitability in cow milk and cow milk products rather than cow dung and urine.

India should produce more milk and milk products and export to the entire world. Since we have emotional and spiritual connection with the Cows, it could create lots of job opportunities to the indians.

In the laboratory, they distill animal and human urine to find out the disease. Science says animal and human urine is distilled to approximately 3 to 5 % of its initial volume. The remaining concentrated liquid contains all the nutrients from urine. At ambient temperature, all nutrient salts stay in solution. Distillate is recovered and can be reused, e.g. to flush the toilets, it is said.

Here, it is said distilled cow urine (Go Ark) can be used as medicine. Probably, in the distillate, they might be adding some herbs or medicines, since, urine distillate is only water.

    Well said, sir!

It takes just a week for a complete mind shift from being a meat-eater to a total vegetables-eater.

By being a vegetarian, we not only have far better protection from diseases, but also help save the planet.

Now onwards all the ministers in Karnataka starting right from the top should have a go shala or cowshed attached to their official villa or apartment to take care of the old, sick and abandoned cows. They should also use their personal funds for this purpose. They have to lead by example and not just tell the general public what to follow.

Dear Mr Minister - Please practice before you preach. These things are easier said than done. You too kick start the process by adopting a few old, sick cows and look after them in your own villa or apartment. Please note that cow is same as your own mother and its your duty to look after the same.

Look, Minister, you first advise your central government to withdraw the Bills that are forcefully involving corporate moguls into agriculture sector so that the farmers and their ability to produce farm products continues unhindered. Obviously, the Farm Bills were enacted for the benefit of corporates, not of the farmers. On the contrary, if you were asked by the Farmer associations to give them some benefits from the corporates you would have run with your tail under your buttocks.

Now, the Panchagavya that you are forcing on people (God knows if you want them to drink it because a bigger percentage is living on 5cents land or a four wall flat), this all is expected since the 'Anti Cow Slaughter' ban is imposed hence many old cows need to be looked after for which you need revenue.

Please think from the top part of your body while enacting laws not the bottom part of it so that it does not backfire on you,
