Mumbai gets five new cyber police stations

Mumbai, Jan 27: Five new dedicated cyber police stations with trained personnel is added to the Mumbai police located in five regions within the city. This will enable the expansion, scope and speed of cyber investigation in the city, an official reported.

"To operate these police stations, personnel have been trained in investigating the cyber crime. They are also versed with the knowledge of cyber laws," the official said.

The officer further said that the joint commissioner of police (law and order) will be responsible for the overall supervision while the additional commissioner of police of each region will monitor the functioning of each police station.
