Kundapur, Jan 28: The trailer of the film 'The strange case of Kundapur' produced under the banner of J C Movies, here, was held at Kundeshwar temple.

Basrur Mahalingeshwar temple managing trustee, B Appanna Hegde who lit the lamp and released the trailer said that the specialities of Kundapur vicinity can be used when talented persons from Kundapur produce the film. "There are unique places in Kundapur that draw attention. Those become popular when shown in the films. It also gives opportunities to local talents. May the efforts of Om Guru, Chandrashekar and his team be successful and many more films be produced by them."

"Campaigns for the formation of Kundapur district have already begun. The place where the sub-divisional office is situated should have been the district centre. But Udupi has become the district centre. We see a unique lifestyle and language after the Seeta river. It is possible to make Kundapur a district if neighbouring Bhatkal and parts of Hosanagar are added to it. We have brought our demand to the attention of the government," said Appanna Hegde.

Manu Handadi, entrepreneur Pravin Kumar, actor-director Om Guru, film producer Chandrashekar, music director Uttam Saranga, actor Rahul Hegde and others were present.

Saumyashree and Sandhesh Shetty compered the hall programme.
