Udupi: Couple stealing chickens in guise of beggars caught by public

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Jan 30: A couple, who used to visit houses in the guise of beggars and steal chickens, were caught by the public at Adyar Arkula. Video of the couple stealing chickens had gone viral on social media recently.

According to the video, the modus operandi followed by the couple was very tricky. They used to visit the houses as beggars. When they were sure that there was no one in the house, they used to steal the chickens.

The couple used to sit in the veranda of the house, where the chickens are let free to roam. Then they put grains of rice and make the chickens walk towards them. As soon as they are very near, they catch them by their neck, twist it and put them inside the bag they have with them.

The act of the couple was caught on a mobile camera by a woman in Kaup of the district, where they had stolen chickens. This video had gone viral on social media a few days ago.

The couple was finally apprehended by the public.

No sympathy towards them at all...
You steal a chicken, a cow or an elephant, still you are a thief. If you are a beggar, ask for money or food. Our society has shown exceplary generosity towards hungry and homeless people in recent times. See his stealing skills. Quicker than Dhoni stumpings!

Really sad for the old couple. Instead of taking videos and making them viral the public should get together and do something good for them like putting them in an old age home and in future do something to take care of their daily needs. Harming them could result in terrible curses. Please note. They are senior citizens in need who can't even afford a daily meal.

This is our society ready to punish poor & downtrodden.
They don't have guts to speak against politicians.

We are heroes in group's & inbetween the rioting mobs. But. Individually we are zero.

Nobody asks the couples what is their actual problem.
Simply created a live video & given it to the media.

They are old. Just let them go with a warning.
Stealing one or two chicken for daily bread is not big a crime!
Get them a bank account opened, make a video, give the account number and request the public to donate small amounts so that they spend their days in comfort.

There are some people who steal cattle from the cow sheds and they are powerful having political support. These poor old couple must be hungry that they ended up doing such petty things. Help them to get their food so that they wont do.....
