Mumbai, Feb 2: Shiv Sena leader and MP Sanjay Raut has termed the union budget as a political party's budget. The union budget was present by the finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday, February 1. Although BJP has hailed the budget, it has received a mixed response from the general public.
"This budget has been conceived keeping in mind the upcoming Assembly polls. This cannot be termed as a Union budget but that of a political party." "Maharashtra has contributed so much for the country, but nobody pays attention to it. The people of the state are seeing all this and will keep in mind," Raut was quoted in a report by ANI.
Earlier on Monday, Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray had also slammed the central government and alleged that instead of the entire country, the budget was more focused on poll-bound states including West Bengal.
