Mangalore, Jun 23: The Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited, central suburban Bhandup branch, bagged the ‘Bheema Branch Award’ from Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) for generating a premium income of over Rs 50 lac.
Bhandup branch of Bharat Co-operative Bank was the second in the metro to be awarded the ‘Fortune–500’ by LIC.
The award presentation ceremony was held at Bhandup branch recently, and presided over by Bank’s acting CEO B K Amin.
LIC senior divisional manager S K Thakoor was the chief guest on the occasion.
LIC top officers N Chatterjee, M K Mandal, and Arun Shinde were also present.
Bharat Bank LIC advisor H Shivaram Poojary explained the need for insurance coverage and benefits of LIC’s various insurance polices.
Amin congratulated the bank’s employees for their significant efforts in generating a premium of over Rs 50 lac.
Thakoor presented a memento to Bhandup branch senior manager Dinesh B Salian. Bhandup branch assistant manager Sridar Poojary and staff including BDD agents were also present.
Dinesh B Salian welcomed the gathering. LIC officer Arun Shinde proposed the vote of thanks.
