Mumbai, Jun 23: The Malaika Appliances Private Limited, known for the distribution of household materials in association with the famous Life’s Good (LG) group started an exclusive LG showroom at Mira Road- East here on Monday June 21.
Maharashtra MLA Gilbert Mendonca inaugurated the new showroom situated in a building at Shantinagar sector-1, Mira Road- East.
Speaking on the occasion, Mendoca said that with changing times it is vital to adapt to scientific ways of living. People need to utilize the modern household devices which can ease their job to great extent, he added.
Describing the prominence of women in the family, he said that her happiness is all the more important. Most of the modern household instruments are designed to reduce the work of women and thus it is very useful.
LG Electronics Limited Group’s national manufacturer’s head Vijay Babu was the chief guest. St Joseph Church’s chief priest Fr Dominic Vas blessed the occasion. Mira-Bhayandar City Corporation’s representative Prashant Palande and Mohammad Siddiq of Maharashtra Malayali Protection Forum were the guests of honour.
Fr Dominic Vas lauded the achievements of Gilbert Baptist, the working president and administrative director of Malaika groups. He said Baptist is a very dedicated man and his hard work and nature has given him all the name and fame in society.
Vijay Babu said that Baptist has enormous experience in the field and his hard work and determination is a example to others.
Baptist said that the trust of the customers plays a major role in any form of business. The business should take into consideration the needs of a common man, he stressed.
Well- known entrepreneur Maxim Mathias, Fr Michael Shenoy, Fr Deepak Thomas, Fr John Pinto, entrepreneur Manish Agarwal, Charles Patrao, Nancy Ignetius Sequiera , Dr Raviraj Suvarna, Freddy Mendonca and Santhosh Shetty Bellipady among others were the special invitees.
Prashant Palande gave away special prizes to the first customers and also to the lucky-draw winners. Naveen Kulshekar compered the programme. Malaika Baptist proposed the vote of thanks.
Malaika Co-operative Credit Society secretary Elsy Rodrigues, manager Marcy D’Souza and Malaika Group’s Teja Ravindra Shetty, Maohar Shetty and Joseph Lobo among others were present on the occasion.
