Mangaluru, Feb 4: The platinum jubilee thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration took place at Rosa Mystica Convent Chapel at 9:30 am on Thursday, February 4. It was officiated by Msgr Fr Maxim Noronha, the vicar general of Mangaluru diocese and Fr Teji, the director of Snehasadan. In his homily, Msgr Maxim Noronha highlighted the role of teachers in shaping the personalities of the children. The occasion was graced by Sr Mariette BS, secretary, Bethany Educational Society, Sr Cecilia Mendonca BS, the corporate manager, Bethany Educational Society, Mangaluru Province and Sr Shubha BS, the coordinator for Education. The staff and students and all the heads of Rosa Mystica Institutes, Sisters of Rosa Mystica Community, tertians and novices were present. The Novices of Rosa Mystica Novitiate conducted meaningful liturgy during the Eucharist.
Servant of God, Msgr Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas, founder of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany started Rosa Mystica Teachers Training Institute in the year 1945. His main vision was to empower women through education, especially those in rural areas. His dream was realized through this renowned Institute. Nearly 4,000 teachers trained from this Institute have been rendering their services in different parts of the world.
The closing ceremony of the Platinum Jubilee Celebration will be held on February 5 at 10:00 am at Rosa Mystica Teachers Training Institute, Kinnikambla.
