Mangaluru, Aug 8: BJP district president Satish Kumpala has demanded that a narco analysis test be conducted on the unidentified person who recently alleged that hundreds of unclaimed bodies were buried in Dharmasthala.
Speaking at a press meet at the BJP district office here on Friday, Kumpala said the anonymous complainant had claimed about a month ago that unclaimed bodies were buried at specific locations. Based on his statement, an exhumation is being carried out under the supervision of the Special Investigation Team (SIT). "However, the allegations do not seem to have much substance. It must be clarified on what basis he made such serious charges. Hence, a narco test should be conducted on him," he said.

Kumpala asserted that the BJP fully supports the ongoing SIT probe based on the anonymous complaint. However, he alleged that left-wing groups and certain social media users are tarnishing the image of the Dharmasthala temple. "If such defamation continues, we will join hands with the Hindu community to launch a protest," he warned.
He pointed out that the BJP had also supported investigations into allegations against Dharmasthala in the past. "This time too, we extend our support to the SIT inquiry. But we will not tolerate outsiders making derogatory remarks about the temple during the course of the probe. We urge the government and the police department to take strict action against those indulging in baseless defamation," he said.
Kumpala further alleged that certain untoward incidents during the SIT probe, as well as the temple’s defamation, indicate a conspiracy by left-wing groups. "The district in-charge minister himself has said publicly that the case was handed over to the SIT under pressure from the Left. It is also being said that a Congress MP from Tamil Nadu pressured his party leaders regarding this probe. All this appears to be part of a larger conspiracy to target Hindu religious centres. The Centre should order a high-level probe to expose and curb such conspiracies," he demanded.
MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Rajesh Naik, Dr Bharath Shetty, Pratap Simha Naik, Kishore Kumar, and party leaders Premananda Shetty, Vikas Puttur, Mahesh, and Arun Shetty were present.
