Kasargod: Kidnap, looting of jewellery agents - Five more arrested

Kasargod, Feb 5: Manjeshwar station police arrested five more people in connection with the case in which two jewellery agents were kidnapped in a car and looted Rs 14 lac in cash.

With the arrest of these five, the total number of people arrested in the case has risen to seven. Arrested accused are identified as Abdul Azeez (27), resident of Pindikai of Bantwal Naringana, Abdul Rauf (26), a resident of Montugoli of Bantwal Naringana, Mohammed Iqbal (27), resident of Montugoli, Mohammed Rizwan (27) and Ranjith Kumar (27).

Abdul Rahman of Kotekar and Nasir of Montugoli were arrested three days ago in connection with this case. Police have got the information that the first and the second accused in the case are residents of K C Road in Talapady. They are absconding at present.

The incident had taken place on December 10, 2020. Jewellery agents Mahesh and Avinash who were travelling by car from Mangaluru to Kasargod were kidnapped and taken in another car to Kurudapadavu and looted of Rs 14 lac in cash.

Manjeshwar station officer K P Shine, SI Raghavan, ASI Balachandra, personnel Austin Thambi, Sathish, Praveen and Rajesh are involved in further investigation of the case.

    O Jossey mumbai,asking like a school boy,why get united to loot?what springs out by such events,?amount will be more ,unity makes easier to make it almost perfekt .By the way they are from Bantwal,please investigate another case of juwellier case of Boliyar.Bantwal . disappeared later found on river bank .Any connection.?He was lending money on loan basis.
