Bantwal, Feb 9: "Students in villages are able to blend with nature and be successful," said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadiguthu after inaugurating a new building for Government Pre-University College constructed at a cost of Rs 67 lac and other works worth Rs 1.25 crore. He then presided over the programme.

"People in the village should make use of the college and help in its development while I cooperate as an MLA. It has brought me joy that students are able to study in the new building after thirty years."

District panchayat member, Padmashekar Jain, college committee member, Sandarshan Baja, Dharanendra Jain, gram panchayat member Ramakrishna Mayya, Geeta, Shantappa Poojary, Dhananjay Sarapady, Dayananda Naika, G M Farook, Chidananda Rai, Purushotham Majalu, Sarojini, Dinesh Gowda, PWD engineer Amrath Kumar, entrepreneur Jayaprakash, State company’s H R officer Bharath, BJP president Devappa Poojary, chief secretary Dombayya Arala, secretary Raghunath Rai, Ravindra Shetty Kayyala, Nagesh Agaragandi and others were present.

Committee vice president Poovappa Poojary Kadambaje extended a keynote address. Principal Smitha welcomed the gathering. Professor Amrath Kodialbail and professor Shalini compered the programme.
