Mumbai: Police arrest 3 ‘YouTubers’ for creating over 300 vulgar, obscene prank videos

Mumbai, Feb 28: Cyber Cell of the Mumbai Police has arrested 3 YouTube content creators for allegedly shooting vulgar pranks videos in the city’s public places.

As per police, 3 YouTubers would approach young women and minor girls and ask them to act in their YouTube videos for money. They would allegedly touch private parts of minors and women in public places and use obscene language on the pretext of filming prank videos.

Police said the prime accused Mukesh Gupta (29), a Thane resident, and his friend Jitendra Gupta (25) and Prince Kumar Sav (23), both residents of Kurarhad, were handling 17 YouTube channels and Facebook pages. They have over 20 million subscribers. They filmed and posted at least 300 obscene videos and earned around Rs 2 crore during the lockdown period.
