Bengaluru: Husband killed for doubting wife's character - Five arrested

Bengaluru, Mar 2: Police personnel of Rajagopala Nagar station here have arrested five persons including the wife and the son of the murdered man. It is said that the wife hired contract killers to eliminate her husband for doubting her character.

Aftab (21) from Dhanisandra, Muhammed Saif (20) from Hegganahalli, Syed Avez Pasha (23) from Peenya, Shafiur Rehman (20) also from Peenya, and Sarvari Begum (42) have been arrested. Three mobile phones and Rs 98,000 being money paid to the contract killers have been recovered.

Muhammed Hamjal (52) constantly doubted the character of his wife and often fought with her on this issue. His wife, frustrated by this, joined his son to draw up a plan to kill Hamjal. Aftab, Muhammed Saif and Syed Avez were hired at a price of Rs 4.5 lac to kill her husband.

As planned, on the night of February 10, Hamjal was served dinner mixed with sleeping pills. After he slept at 3.30 am, they tied up his limbs and smothered him with a pillow to death, the police have claimed.
