Bengaluru, Mar 2: Regarding an objectionable video CD, Water Resources minister Ramesh Jarkiholi said on Tuesday March 2, that it was a political conspiracy against him.
In a statement to media, he said that it was a false news and that has hurt him emotionally. He said in a statement, “I have watched the news on media. This is a part of a political conspiracy. I will myself come in the open and answer all the questions posed by the media.
“The victim has not filed any complaint but a third party. This shows that it is a well-planned conspiracy against me.
“All my media friends please cooperate with me,” stated the minister.
“I have not done anything wrong. Hang me if I am wrong. I do not know who that woman is. There should be an inquiry into this. No one came to me. I do not know who that poor woman is. If it is proved that I have done something wrong, I will retire from politics. I do not who Dinesh Kallahalli is. I request the chief minister to hold a detailed inquiry into this incident,” he said earlier speaking to a private media channel.
“I have never indulged in any cheap act till date. I was shocked when I came to know about the incident through media. Hence I have come to Bengaluru. An enquiry should be held into this episode,” he said.
It may be recalled, social activist Dinesh Kallahalli in a complaint claimed that when a woman from a poor family approached the minister for making a short film, he had sexually exploited her by assuring a job in the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited. He alleged that when the minister got to know that the woman had the 'CD' (objectionable videos), he threatened her and her family.
