Mumbai, Jul 7: A special camp for activists of various branches of the metro-based ‘Chinnara Bimba’, promoted by Kala Jagattu, an organization engaged in promoting Tulunadu culture and its distinct folklore, was held at Shangrila Resorts, located at Bhiwandi – Nasik Road, here on Sunday July 4.
Tips on personality development and training were imparted to Kannada teachers and volunteers of various branches of Chinnara Bimba at the day-long camp.
Harish Vasu Shetty, actor, TV serial ‘CID’, and Satish Salian, head, Chinnara Bimba, suburban Vikhroli branch, enlightened the participants on personality development.
Chinnara Bimba promoter Prakash Bhandary, Kala Jagattu founder Vijay Kumar Shetty and Surendra Kumar Hegde gave advice on teaching methods of Kannada classes, earning the love of students, preparing the branch report, getting more students for Kannada study and the like.
Sports and cultural competitions were organized for the camp participants and the winners were awarded prizes.
Harish Vasu Shetty staged a mimicry show while Padmanabha Sasihitlu, teachers, volunteers, and parents of students, presented a musical concert that comprised of devotional songs, patriotic songs, and Tulunadu folk songs on the occasion.
Harish Shetty, promoter, Shangrila Resorts, Narayan Bangera, Padmanabha Sasihitlu, Balakrishna Shetty, Karnoor Mohan Rai, Karnire Sridar Shetty, and Bhaskar Shetty were also present.
Chinnara Bimba founder president Pooja Prakash Bhandary and Nayana Prakash Bhandary organized the special camp.
