Dharmadhikari Joshi Lauds Social Initiatives of Kannadigara Balaga

“Kannadigas who migrated to the metro in search of a better future are spending their valuable time promoting their inherited culture, art, and traditions and have blended well with a society that consists of people from all over the country.  Despite the busy life in the metro, the Kannadigas have formed the Kannada association to serve their brethren and to promote the distinct culture of Karnataka in the metro”, said Bheemeshwar Joshi, Dharmadikari, Sri Adhi Shaktyatmaka Annapoorneshwari Temple, Horanadu, Chikmagalur district, Karnataka.


 
He was speaking after acknowledging his felicitation during his visit to Kannadigara Balaga located in suburban Charkop, Kandivali (West), here recently. 
 
Joshi appreciated the social welfare activities carried out by Kannadigara Balaga in the metro.  He called on the gathering to follow spirituality in order to attain peaceful living.
 
Kannadigara Balaga president Sarapady Bhaskar and office-bearers felicitated Bheemeshwar and philanthropist Karunakar Shetty on the same occasion.
 
Speaking on the occasion Bhaskar said that Kannadigara Balaga has built its own building in Charkop in a decade of its existence.  Meanwhile, he also gave information on the Vedic rituals organized by Sri Raghaveshwar Bharati Swami of Ramachandrapur Mutt at Sri Kshetra Gokarna. 

Bhaskar also explained the various social welfare activities undertaken by Kannadigara Balaga, Charkop, and those of ‘Chinnara Bimba’, a children’s art troupe engaged in promoting Kannada and Tulunadu culture in the metro.
 
Kannadigara Balaga former president M S Rao, vice-president N G Bhat, office-bearers Dasu Suvarna, Harish Chevaru, Ramesh Bangera, Veeranna Karkkannavar, Raju Poojary, Vijay Poojary, Santhosh Bhat, and Janesh Shetty were also present on the occasion.
