Mumbai, Mar 22: In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old woman was found murdered at her home in Ulhasnagar late on Saturday March 20. The police have detained two suspects relating to the murder.
Vidya Talreja's body was found with injuries on the throat and face. This is the third such instance of a woman's murder in Thane district. The police said two cases have been solved. Talreja, who had separated from her husband, lived with her daughter, said the police.
Late evening after the deceased's daughter got home from work, she discovered the body. The police reported that Talreja was stabbed with a sharp weapon while her face was disfigured with a blunt object. Interrogation of the suspects was on at the time of filing this report on Sunday evening, said senior inspector K P Thorat of Vithalwadi police station.
