Bidar, Apr 8: Former chief minister and leader of the opposition in the assembly, Siddaramaiah, said that he does not have any differences with KPCC president, D K Shivakumar, as is being made out by some quarters. He said he is jointly participating in the campaign with Shivakumar.
He said that he and Shivakumar will always stick to Ahinda welfare. "Delivering speeches about them is not enough," he said, in an apparent reference to state BJP president, Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Siddaramaiah termed Kateel as an incapable president who has been unable to take action against his own partymen who are openly issuing statements against the government and the chief minister. He pointed out that minister, Eshwarappa, and MLA, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, have been openly criticizing the chief minister but Kateel has not been able to even refer to them.
Siddaramaiah claimed that the construction of new Anubhava Mantapa at a cost of Rs 600 crore Basavakalyana was the concept of the Congress government. He recalled that when he was the chief minister, he had formed a committee chaired by Go Ru Chennabasappa and got a report from him, but thereafter the Congress did not rise to power in the state, he mentioned.
