Mangaluru, Apr 12: Group of Iron Games, Davanagere held state-level bench press competitions in association with Karnataka Power Lifting Association at Kuvempu Kannada Bhavana.
Deepa K S of Mangaluru has won the gold medal in the master division. She also won a silver medal in the women’s open division (69 kg).
She obtained training from coach, Pradeep Acharya. Deepa is the wife of entrepreneur Kunjathodi Vasudev Bhat, Kadri.
Rutvik Alevooraya who won two gold medals in the Commonwealth Games is her mother.
