Bantwal: Engagement for mass marriages by Punjalkatte Swastik Club to be held on Apr 18

Bantwal, Apr 13: Punjalkatte Swastik Friends Club on its 37th anniversary will be holding the engagement programmes of the 13th free mass marriages at Punjalkatte Pilatabettu Sangha Suvidha auditorium on April 18. The mass marriages will be held on April 25.

16 couples will tie the knot in the mass marriages. The engagement is being held as per Tulunad customs. New clothes will be distributed to both the bride and the grooms during the engagement programme.

“Beltangadi BJP president Jayanth Kotian will preside over the distribution programme. State urban water supply and drainage board director Sulochana G K Bhat, child development officer Gayatri Kambali, Tulu Sahitya Academy member Mallika Shetty Irvathur, gram panchayat president M P Shekar and Murugendra Mitra Mandali president Udaya Kumar Shetty will grace the occasion,” said club founder president M Tungappa Bangera and president Prashanth Punjalkatte in a press release.
