Alva’s College Dances its Way to Glory at ‘Nratyotsav – 2010’

Udupi, Aug 3: It was a visual treat as team after team took the stage and charmed the audience with splendid performances. In the end it was Alva’s College who bagged the overall championship at ‘Nratyotsav–2010’, the Mangalore varsity level inter-collegiate dance competition held at St Mary’s College, Shirva, on Tuesday August 3.
Alva’s College bagged the first place in both classical and folk dance categories.
Mangalore-based Canara College and St Agnes College bagged the second and third places, respectively, in classical dance segment.
Govind Das College, Suratkal, bagged the second place in folk dance while Beary’s College, Kodi, Kundapur, bagged the third place in the same category.
Zilla panchayat president Gladys D’Almeida distributed the prizes during the concluding ceremony held at St Mary’s College on Tuesday evening.
Fr Stany Tauro, correspondent, St Mary’s College and Don Bosco Education Institutions, Shirva, presided over the function.
