Bahrain: GSS Billawas Elect New Executive Committee for 2010-2012

Bahrain, Aug 4: The Guru Seva Samithi (GSS) Billawas Bahrain, unanimously elected its executive committee for the year 2010 – 2012, recently.
The AGM was held at Papillon Restaurant. The new committee is a fine blend of senior members and young professionals. Among them is Krishna Naimpally, president, who is the former general secretary of GSS and former treasurer of Kannada Sangha Bahrain.
Former Sports Secretary of Kannada Sangha, Krishna Suvarna is the vice-president and one of the founder members of GSS Bahrain and senior member of Kannada Sangha. He is a popular person in the Kannada and Tulu community of Bahrain.
GSS Bahrain was founded in 2003 and has a fine track record of helping community members in Bahrain and back in undivided Dakshina Kannada district. Many needy families have benefitted through GSS Billawas Bahrain, in the form of medical aid and educational scholarships.
The new executive committee is as follows:
Hemachandra Salian (Treasurer), Krishna Suvarna (Vice-President), Krishna Naimpalli (President), Raghu Poojary (General Secretary), Poornima Jogadish (Entertainment Secretary) Prakash Anchan (Assistant Entertainment Secretary), Satish Anchan (Assistant Treasurer), Surendra Udyavar (Assistant General Secretary), Ajith Bangera (Sports Secretary), Sachin Suvarna (Committee Member), Suresh Suvarna (Committee Member)
