Cong Padayatra - Step Down from Chief Ministership, Says Siddu to Yeddy

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SB)

Bangalore, Aug 5: Opposition leader Siddaramaiah demanded Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to vacate the chief ministership taking moral responsibility for bad administration.

Siddu was addressing the gathering at the meet as part of padayatra at Hirehalli on Wednesday August 5. “The silence of Yeddy on the ongoing turmoil in BJP due to illegal mining issue shows his helplessness. He has failed to preserve the natural resources and responsible for the present chaos in the state in the wake of which he should resign, he added.

Siddu called upon the public to join the padayatra as the campaign has been taken up to preserve the natural resources in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, leader of opposition in legislative council Motamma said that the padayatra is to restore the self-respect and confidence of Bellary citizens who are reeling under the misrule of mining lords.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) working president D K Shivakumar said that the success of the ongoing padayatra has inspired the Congress to take up such campaigning in every village in order to expose the misrule of the state administration and also the cabinet ministers’ waywardness. The state has not been appropriately using funds sanctioned by the centre for development works, he added.

KPCC general secretary V S Ugrappa, Karnatala Pradesh Yuva Congress Committee president Krishna Byregowda, MLAs Santosh Lad, U T Khader and Congress leader Vonod Lasrado among others were present.

Elevnth day's padayatra began from Challkere and ended at Hirehalli.

Yes MR M Bhat mumbai, people have elected BJP to rule the state for five years!!Did you see them ruling Karnata for the last two years?? From Haveri Golibar to present mines scam are of thier main achivement in two years. How many "SAMAVESHAS"with different names conducted by them @ minimum 15 crores rupees each one.How many scams "housing","kalliddalu" "Mines and many more. What happened to flood relief money provided by centre in multi thousand crores besides what they collected from Karnataka. Finally did BJP allow the house to run for debating and discussing burning issues? Opposition parties were asked to come out of the house for a fist fight by using sordid languages. This is really not a parliamentary type of ruling by BJP.This is the time for introspection and need to change it's approch.

Siddu you sound frustrated to core as you missed the bus when you were follower of great Mannina Maga - Devegowda. People have elected BJP Government to rule the state for 5 years after throughly defeating your party. Let them complete the 5 years term. Do not lose heart and scratch your beard and head in frustration. You have every right to condemn the Government and its policies and give feedback, give constrcutive suggestions/advices for bettter administration of the state. But this antics of Padayatra needs to be stopped. Be a sensible opposition leader and discharge your duties sincerly. Donot beg anyone to resign and make it a new occupation.

Whatever BJP says this padayatra has made BJP nervous and Mr.Yedyurappa started taking some actions.

Mr. Yedyurappa, banning exports will not stop illegal mining. On the contrary it will only affect legal miners and illegal mining will still continue. Don't mislead people by such actions. Illegal mining can be stopped only if you have able officers and police force at Bellary. Have you taken any action in this regard?

Banning of exports is not so easy. This has to be studied by expert eonomists to see the affect on country's economy. Mr. Yedyurappa don't take childish decisions without understanding economics.

People want to stop illegal mining and nobody has problem with legal mining.

I do not understand when Padayatris say that people are behind us, nor when the government says our samaavesh are drawing more crowd. In a democracy a party getting 51% of votes rules. Not because they are better or honest but because of the system. Everyone knows this but refuses to believe. People give vent to their frustrations in many ways.

But are not always successful When even the sophisticated poll prediction fails, just claiming that peoples support are with us by looking at the crowd, is nothing but blowing one’s own trumpet but an attempt to fool people. Ultimately the people are sufferers equally those who support them or denounce them.

Siddu, you have proved as a leader of masses. Go ahead, people will come behind you. Do not stop until the thieves of Karnataka iron ores are removed from the ministry.

The dying party atleast now getting birth under your charismatic leadership. Sonia Gandhi definetely reward you for giving birth to the dead party in the state. Expose wrong doings of the government.

    Siddhu,
We appreciate that you want Yeddurappa to quit. Fine…..
We want you to answer the following questions?
    1. Are you serious about this padyatra?
    2. Why are you with these thamasa artists?
    3. Is this also one big tamasha?
    4. In what way are you different from BJP?
    5. Do you have any agenda?
    6. Tell us what you will do if you come to power?
    7. After CWG fiasco can we trust you?
    8. What do we do if you turn out to be another rogue?
Have you heard about this saying “Known devil is better than a unknown angel”
If you don’t have the answers we will stick to our devil. At least Yedurappa has the guts to taken on Reddy’s from Andhra.

People have elected a party to run the government with majority. We have a democratically elected party in power.
People have always decided what they want and they will, in future too. People know who is good and who is bad. All these padayatras are waste of time as these fools are just wasting pubic money. Looks like Congress men had some funds left over from flood relief scam. Disgusting to see DKS leading this so called "padayatra" because he is one of the leading mines and granite business owners. If Reddy's are at fault, these guys should go to court. Let the justice prevail.

'BJP Kallas Thai Gayo'. 'Ram Baana' of Congress is right on target. BJP is scattered like shepherd without sheep. Reddy & team on one side & Yeddy & team on the other. It looks like Karnataka/Andhra war and the sufferer is common Kannadiga. No time for development but busy in securing the chair. However, being Kannadigas, we should always stand by Yeddy. Yeddy ki jai ho.

    Dear Sidhuji,
The padyatra will end by 9th aug. It is well and good if u get some points to strong ur congress party. Rememeber sri YSR went on padyatra in Andra in the year 2002-03 with different ideology and won Andhra Election with thump majority. When he got sucess then only highcommand took him in the main stream. Ur padyatra just like 100 padyatras carried out by gujrat congres since last 8 years in gujrat with only intention to fire Shri Narendrabhai Modi but it backfired congress only.

People of karnataka wants political leadres those have scheme names for their real name like - Land reforms-by Devraj Urs , Neer Saab - Abdul Nazir Saab( Borewell Saab), Panchayatraj- Ramkrishna Hegde , Higher Education - Shri Veerappa Moily , I.T - Shri. S.M.Krishna. Let us hope all the leaders of ruling and oppn parties understand the present requirement of the state and act accordingly.

Ultimately CM, as a leader ruling party, responsible for all ommissions & ommissions of admin. In all field BJP grossly failed in it's duties towards it's citizen. If any morality left in CM,vowing mines looting allegation only enough to quit the CM chair as has the ministry of forest, mines.I believe BJP/CM not sensative for all these allegations @any point of time in this two years of tennure in office.
