Los Angeles, Aug 7 (IANS): Oscar-winning actress and screenwriter Emma Thompson has been immortalised on the 'Hollywood Walk of Fame' after receiving her 2,416th star outside an English-themed pub.
Thompson was honoured at a ceremony in front of Pig 'n' Whistle attended by fellow actors Hugh Laurie of "House" fame and Maggie Gyllenhaal, her co-star in "Nanny McPhee Returns", to be released later this month," reports imdb.com.
The 51-year-old won her first Academy Award for best actress in 1992 for her role in "Howard's End" and scooped her second Oscar in 1996 for best adapted screenplay for the film version of classic Jane Austen novel "Sense and Sensibility".
