Udupi, May 13: Minister of state for home, law and parliamentary affairs, Basavaraj Bommai handed over 25 oxygen concentrators to Shiggaon public hospital that can help save the lives of Covid patients. A 50-bed hospital has been also inaugurated on the premises of his residence at Shiggaon.
“The number of Covid deaths is on the rise. Therefore additional beds have been arranged. Another 46-bed facility will be arranged at Shiggaon taluk hospital,” he said.
Medical officer Vivek Jainkeri, Udaya Lakshman Naik and Mahesh were present.
The minister has converted his house premises to Covid Care Centre and doctors have been appointed as well. Minister Bommai also visited the spot and inspected the facilities at the Centre.
