Mumbai, May 26: Two minor boys were booked for the murder of a 26-year-old man. The boys reportedly did the act after an argument over an old dispute on Tuesday May 25, police said.
The police added that the minors, both aged 16 and school dropouts, were taken into custody after the incident in Shivaji Nagar, a slum locality in suburban Govandi. The deceased, Mohsin Khan, was a labourer, an official confirmed.
Early in the morning, on the day of the incident, Khan was on the way to answer nature's call when the two teenagers stopped him and got into an argument. Gradually, the argument got heated and one of the boys attacked him with a sharp weapon while the other hit him repeatedly with a paver block, killing him on the spot, the official said. The two minors were nabbed after an initial investigation.
An FIR under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention) were registered against the boys, who will be produced before a juvenile justice board and sent to a correction home, he added.
