Bengaluru, May 27: Karnataka on Thursday, May 27 registered 24,214 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 4,02,203. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally came down to 5,949 new cases.
As many as 476 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Thursday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 273 deaths and Ballari 22. With this, the toll so far has risen to 27,405.
The state recorded 31,459 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 20,94,369.
So far, Karnataka has seen 25,23,998 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 17.59%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.96%.
As many as 1,27,54,056 people have received vaccination so far.
