Mangaluru, May 28: In a joint operation officials of Excise department and railway police confiscated liquor that was being transported illegally on a train at Mangaluru Junction railway station on Friday May 28.
As much as 138.750 litres of liquor was seized from the Dadar-Tirunalveli express train.
Surprisingly, the accused went missing.
A case under Excise Act was registered.

The operation was led by Shailaja Kote, joint commissioner of Excise and Ajay Kumar, inspector southern railway Mangaluru.
