Koppal: Son who went missing ten years ago returns home to joyful reunion

Daijiworld Media Network - Koppal (SP)

Koppal, May 30: The members of a family were surprised and elated after one of their own who went missing ten years ago, and who they assumed to be dead, suddenly resurfaced.

Devaraj Master, one of the three children of Parvathamma and Gurubasappa Master couple from Jamlapur village in Kushtagi taluk in the district, had left home ten years back. Now, because of the scare created by coronavirus infection, his company has declared holiday. He returned home with the help of his friends from Chikkavankalakunta in Yalalburga taluk near his native place.

Devaraj had left to Bengaluru in 2008-09 for the stated purpose of finding a job, but had lost all links with his fmailiy thereafter. His parents had shed copious tears as they had no clue what happened to their son.

Recently he visited Lord Panduiranga temple in Jamlapur village where he disclosed that he is from Jamlapur. Those who were present were taken by surprise and conveyed information to his parents. The couple came and were too happy to meet their son after a gap of more than ten years.

Devaraj said he was working for the last ten years at Bengaluru. Because of coronavirus lockdown, he had no work. Frustrated, under pressure from peers, he agreed to return to the family, said his father, Hurubasappa. The entire family and villagers joined together to celebrate his return.

Devaraj's mother called all the relatives near and far over phone, to inform that her son had come back at last. She said that in a divine query, she was promised that her son would return one day and that she is happy that this prediction turned right.

How can normal human being forget his parents/home and stay away for 10 years ? He is not normal human being and may disappear again without informing his parents. He should be treated for his mental illness / counselling required before he disappears again...

"Lost all links with family" being inside the country (in the same state), in the age of mobile phones and regular transport services, is hard to digest. Anyway all is well that ends well.

Henry Misquith, You are correct. Even in Opposition in Assembly or Parliament, all are united. See the past. I meant before 2014. In 1947, Pakistan was born by splitting Hindustan. Congress pulled many opposition party government when they ruled. But the opposition parties were never united against the central government in succession. But after 2014,all opposition parties have crystallized just to pull the central government. what a magic.
