Beltangady, May 30: In a tragic incident, a mother and her young child died of electric shock at Patrame here on Sunday May 30.
The deceased have been identified as Geeta (30), wife of Harish Gowda, a resident of Kodandoor, and their son Bhavish (3).
The incident happened when Geeta along with her son went to the pumpshed to switch on the pump to collect water to feed the cows.
Geeta's husband Harish was not at home when the tragedy took place, it is learnt.
Dharmasthala police have registered a case.
