Bengaluru, Jun 3: Deputy chief minister and higher education minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan have clarified that messages attributed to him being circulated on social media, especially WhatsApp, stating that the Class 12 (or PUC) examinations in the state will be held from July 7 as "fake" and he was not part of such decision.

Dr Narayan has in a Twitter message termed the message on Class 12 exams being held from July 7 as "fake and false" and said, "I have not been part of any meeting or discussion held on conducting examinations in the state. The concerned department will take the best course of action.’’

"Any statements floating around and attributed to me is fake and false. Do not forward such fake messages,’’ he added.
