Mumbai: Builder held after six years for duping trader

Mumbai, Jun 7: The Economic Offences Wing of Mumbai police arrested a builder who was on the run for the last six years. The builder, who under the pretext of exporting is said to have purchased garments worth Rs 1.27 crore and duped a garment trader. Unit 4 of the EOW arrested Anwar Hussain Nirban (44) the owner of Sadat Textile.

Meanwhile, the police are looking for his brother Azam Nirbhan. The complainant in the case is garment manufacturing company Sai International having an office at Malad.

After a repeated approach to pay the amount totaling Rs 1.27 crore, the Nirbhan brothers refused to pay the amount and only paid Rs 4 lac to the company. The company then lodged an FIR against the Nirbhan brothers.
