UAE extends travel restrictions from India till July 6

Dubai, Jun 8: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has extended the restriction on the entry of travellers from India till July 6 in view of the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the country.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation, UAE, has now suspended all inbound passenger movement to the UAE from India. Air India Express has advised passengers who have booked tickets during the period to reschedule their tickets for travel at a later date.

It may be recalled, UAE had announced the suspension of inbound passenger flights from India from April 25 with an exception to transit flights and passengers who are UAE nationals, diplomatic passport holders and golden residency visa holders. However, they ought to follow the latest COVID protocols as issued by the UAE government.

UAE is now permitting only a select category of passengers to enter Dubai. Such passengers must have a negative PCR antigen test.
