Moodbidri: Five Injured in Bus Accident, Vehicles Damaged

Moodbidri, Aug 27: Five people were injured in a freak accident here on Friday August 27, when the driver of a private bus tried to give it a jerk as he was unable to start the bus. 

The bus suddenly moved forward and hit the other vehicles including a Scorpio, a Maruthi Swift and a two-wheeler resulting in several damages and injuries. 

The injured have been identified as Shrijith, Dhiraj Kumar and Prasanna Kumar, all students of Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Thodar, electrician Rajesh and the bus driver. Two among the injured are in critical condition. They have been admitted to Alva’s Hospital.

A case has been registered against the bus driver and investigations are on.
