Udupi: Generous daily wager distributes ration kits worth Rs 70,000

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (JD/SP)

Udupi, Jun 15: The pandemic has been adversely affecting the lives of the people. Being hungry is an experience, the severity of which can be felt by only those who live with it. The poor and the hungry, who struggle to get food for the family, are left in the lurch by the coronavirus infection that has robbed them of their jobs and other livelihood activities. This situation has moved the heart of a coolie from the town. He has decided to provide food to 70 families which are going through a crisis in life that is worse than his own.

Coronavirus has squeezed people out of their enthusiasm to enjoy their existence. Poor people who were somehow able to subsist from out of money they earned on a daily basis, have been pushed down into an abyss of uncertainties. The situation has come to such a pass that even rich families are finding it hard to carry on with life. Noticing the plight of the poor, the heart of a poor daily wager from here throbbed for them.

Krishna from Ambalpady works as a coolie. He normally does works like cutting down trees and carefully bringing down branches of trees. He is a Dalit, and has donated about Rs 70,000 he earned through hard work and provided rice, pulses, salt, sugar, tea, and other items of need to 70 families.

Krishna says that he was inspired by the social service rendered by a local social worker, Vishu Shetty. He said he donated 50 kits and his friend, Ravi Panjimar, too contributed. He feels that the haves should help the have-nots. "I have gone through critical times and so I understand the plight of the poor. After my friends identified poor families from Katapady, Ambalpady, Kappettu etc, I have given them kits," he stated.

In spite of not being well off, Krishna has a rich heart. He has not forgotten the hard days he went through when small. He had been saving money for the last couple of years and donated his entire savings for providing succour to the families facing hard times. Like Krishna, if others too are inspired by social workers like Vishu Shetty, poor families always have some hope.

Vishu Shetty hailed Krishna for undertaking a worthy task at this time of lockdown. He said that Krishna, by helping others in spite of himself going through a critical period, has opened the eyes of many. Vishu stresses that humanitarian concern is the need of the hour.

Great job done . Really it is very difficult times everyone is facing in the world. There are people who only think of themselves and saving money even though the neighbor next door is staying without food they will not help. Hats off to krishna who spent all his savings for the needy as he could understand his pain. Lets all continue to work for the poor and the needy and serve the hungry. As in dust we shall come and in dust we shall return. Whatever we earn we never take away from this world. Be grateful for what we have and try to help someone in need in whatever way possible. GOD does not see how much wealth we have accumulated but rather he sees when someone was hungry did u feed them, when someone was thirsty did you give something to drink, when someone was homeless have you given them shelter, when someone was without clothes have you given them something to wear. You need be rich to help someone, if you have a heart which melts for the poor its enough. Like Krishna there are lot of other people who have done something for the society in their own way. GOD will bless them with good health and prosperity. Lets continue to serve the society and humanity. If 1 person tries to help another person no one will remain hungry.

When we hear the generous distributions of this person,I remember the version from Bible Jesus said.As people were in a temple hearing the preaching of Jesus ,collection was made from people. Some people gave good amount,a rich person put a heavy coin so that everybody could hear he donated .As the collector came to a old woman ,she had hardly money ,but still opened her small kerchief ,took out a coin and dropped it in the box.Jesus said ,that coin was more worth than a person who dropped the heaviest coin so that to all hear.Same thing I say here.A simple person who works for his daily bread hard ,donated for others out of his hard earned money. That will be more considered in Heaven ,than some lacs from a man who tries to all the means to prevent to pay Tax.

Its a Very generous deed...... A daily wager spared his savings to distributes ration to the poor. I also did it for about 50 families but I did not disclose it to anyone. I spent My total savings 1 percent but this man spent his whole savings...... We have lot of people who got lot of money, assets but they are not having habit of spend for others...... this is a lesson. Please help the needy and god will bless you. No one can take his belongings with him from this world. If you spend 1 percent of your savings also god will bless you 100 times.

Hats off to Krishna for his large heartedness. Instead of simply appreciating the good work done by him people tend to comment on unnecessary things and persons .

Good, whoever gives donation should always keep one thing in mind, any donations should only be given to needy otherwise it will like a bribe. Thats what happening in india, political parties are giving freebies to those who actually can afford it, just to get votes, which harms the development.
