Bengaluru, Jun 16: Karnataka on Wednesday, June 16 registered 7,345 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 1,51,566. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally has come down to 1,611 new cases.
As many as 148 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Wednesday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording 19 deaths and Ballari 7. With this, the death toll so far has risen to 33,296.
The state recorded 17,913 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 25,99,472.
So far, Karnataka has seen 27,84,355 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 435%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.01%.
As many as 1.76,15,123 people have received vaccination so far.
