Mumbai: 21-year-old arrested for snatching actor's phone

Mumbai, Jun 18: A 21- year-old member of a fatka gang was arrested by the Government Railway Police here on Wednesday June 16 for snatching the iPhone of a 22-year-old serial actress travelling by Patna Express, near Ambivli railway station.

Raju Kengar was arrested by GRP from Ambivli. Kengar is said to be a habitual criminal and in the past too he had committed seven similar offences under Kalyan GRP police station jurisdiction.

Anjita Adhikari was coming from Patna to Mumbai, when the train neared Ambivli station, it had slowed down and Adhikari was speaking to someone over the phone near the footboard when the accused hit her with a stick on her hand and fled with her mobile, the GRP said.

GRP said Anjita Adhikari, on June 4 was coming from Patna to Mumbai.

GRP sources said at the time of the incident Adhikari wanted to nab the accused by alighting from the train but other passengers advised her not to do so.
